I truly cannot believe the end of our school year is here. We are wrapping up this chapter on such a high note. 🙂 We are finishing the year strong. The children continue to be busy with their favorite activities and some new additions like cross-stitch, using an embroidery hoop, and books showing the parts of fish, frogs, horses, and birds. These new activities combine many of the skills the children have been working on throughout the year. It is exciting to see them able to work through long sequences and complete bigger projects. There is a great amount of independence in their work and collaboration as they help each other with the steps they are more confident with.

I am excited to share that we are celebrating our last day of school on May 28 with an afternoon of Water Play :-))!! Ms. Shadi is sending an email with the details, but I just couldn’t wait to tell you this is coming up. We will have a waterslide, a small pool, and popsicles!! It will be so much fun and a great way to close out our school year.

Thank you so much for supporting Little Hoku and Montessori. Your children are all so unique and bring so many special gifts to this world. I love connecting with them, feeling their big hearts and spirits. It is such an honor to work with them every day as their guide. You are all doing such a great job raising them! I am in awe of all of you. For those of you returning, I am very excited for next year and all that we will create and learn together.

My Roots Go Down

My roots go down, down to the earth.
My roots go down, down to the earth.
My roots go down, down to the earth.
My roots go down.

I am a pine tree on a mountainside. (3x)
My roots go down.

I am a wild flower pushing through stones. (3x)
My roots go down.

I am a willow swaying through the storm. (3x)
My roots go down.

I am an ancient redwood tree. (3x)
My roots go down.

I am a mountain reaching for the sun.

I rise with the voice of every living thing.
