During the month of October, our little stars took their first field trip to the pumpkin patch in Kula. The kids had the opportunity to handle pumpkins of all different shapes, sizes, colors, and varieties. One of the highlights was finding their way through the corn maze. It was a fun day where everyone began the welcoming of the fall season.
On Wednesday of this week, we have our second field trip to the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center. This is sure to be another fun and inspiring day as we participate in an art class led by one of the resident teaching artists. Riding on the school bus is also always very exciting!
I had the pleasure meeting with all of the parents for parent-teacher conferences last week. Please do not hesitate to contact me anytime with any thoughts or concerns as they may arise. We desire for our school families to feel a strong connection with the classroom. Stay tuned for opportunities for becoming more involved!
Our class is growing! This week also welcomes in five new students! As we focus on getting these new friends settled in to the classroom routines and procedures, the current students are given the opportunity to revisit grace and courtesy lessons. We will be encouraging their leadership skills as we look to them to set the example.
November is a month to focus on what we are grateful for, and the abundance we have in our lives. I will be weaving this theme through stories, songs, and art activities. We are so grateful for our wonderful Little Hoku Ohana!
Warmly,
Ms Eva
